SZ), a global leader in metamaterials, told a reporter from Huaxia Times that traditional technology cannot complete the design, manufacturing, and mass production of complex functional structures in the field of aerospace equipment. The "functional structure integration" of metamaterials is an inevitable requirement for the new generation of aerospace equipment, which is irreplaceable and unique.
The trillion dollar market for aerospace equipment is rising
The 14th Five Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the 2035 Long Range Objectives Outline clearly proposes to focus on strategic emerging industries such as aerospace, accelerate the innovation and application of key core technologies, enhance the ability to guarantee factors, and cultivate and strengthen new driving forces for industrial development.
In August 2021, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Science and Technology issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a Strong Transportation Country Driven by Technological Innovation", which also emphasized the importance of accelerating the independent research and industrialization of aviation equipment, as well as the direction of promoting the independent and intelligent development of specialized equipment.
At present, with the increasingly complex international geopolitical situation, the aerospace equipment industry is an important support for national security, and its strategic significance is becoming more prominent.
